Dubbed 'The London Lip Queen', Rita Rakus shares her expertise in non-invasive cosmetic solutions for face and body rejuvenation.
Q: Please tell us how you got started in the industry. What inspired you to establish your clinic?
A: I had the opportunity to train with a plastic surgeon who had studied at Harvard and set up his Clinic in Knightsbridge, slowly with time I started to build up my own practise and once he retired, I developed the practice into the largest solo non-surgical practice in the United Kingdom and co-founded BCAM with Dr Patrick Bowler. The clinic specialises in non-surgical skin tightening, body contouring, advanced lasers, anti-ageing and other aesthetic treatments.
Q: Which of your treatments is the most popular?

Q: What makes your products and treatment unique from the rest?
A: My products are hand-picked by me! Having had almost 35 number of years working to ensure my clients achieve the best outcomes from their skincare, I know what works and what delivers results. Many of my clients have tried numerous high street brands over the years and always been disappointed, so my products finally deliver to them both in terms of value for money and the outcomes they expect. What’s more, they are all made in the UK, are vegan friendly and paraben free with solid environmental credentials.
Q:At what age should we start anti-aging treatments?
A: There is no age when one should start the anti-aging treatments; it’s when signs of ageing start showing, like your skin starts to show fine lines and wrinkles it feels rough, dry, or itchy, starts to sag or hang loosely or signs of sun damage. The best advice I can give is to start using SUN BLOCK not only on your face but also your hands, elbows, and knees and drink lots of water from a very early age to delay the signs and dramatically reduce the intake of processed sugar.

Q: Melissa is a huge fan of your sunblock! What SPF number would you recommend for everyone?

It is therefore crucial if we want to avoid the signs of ageing that we protect ourselves from UVA and UVB radiation as much as possible and the only way to do this is by using a broad-spectrum SPF 50+ even on the dullest winter days.
