Top 5 Coffee & Brunch Spots in London: Laura Altesa
December 2019
Hi guys, autumn has officially started and for us Londoners that means the cold days have begun. Unlike the summer months, when we could spend time outside enjoying the sunshine, now we are more likely to search for warmth and stay indoors. In this post I would like to share with you my top 5 spots to have a coffee or simply my favourite places to go and enjoy that well-deserved brunch after a morning workout on the weekend.
Brown & Rosie: Perfect for a day out in the museums as it is located just off South Kensington station. This warm and cosy coffee shop will delight you with their delicious drinks and food options. I have tried both their savoury and sweet dishes and, while they are both super tasty, I need to admit that their acai bowl and French toast are out of this world!
Peggy Porschen: The iconic pink coffee shop located just off Victoria Coach Station knows how to embrace the different seasons! The building’s cute decorations change depending on what time of the year it is making it a cosy little spot to catch up with friends and chat over delicious coffee and cake! My favourite is their Strawberry Champagne cupcake. I simply can’t resist how delicious it tastes.
Thomas’ Cafe Burberry: With a sophisticated menu and premium location (next door from the Burberry flagship store on Regent Street), this coffee shop is one of the best brunch spots for the weekend. Whether you are celebrating a special occasion or you just want to indulge in a fancy meal with a loved one, this is the perfect place for you. The atmosphere, service and food are beautiful. And who wouldn’t like the chance to enjoy a glass of champagne or eat lobster for brunch!? Definitely a must try.
Biscuiteers: This dreamy biscuit shop in Notting Hill is like the wonderland of hand-iced biscuits. They sell biscuits to suit any occasion. Pop in and enjoy a coffee break or you can book their afternoon tea experience and enjoy a cup of hot tea or coffee with a friend while you ice and decorate your own biscuits. Can you think of a better plan for a cold weekend afternoon? They also arrange the prettiest biscuit boxes in case you are looking for a gift for someone who has the sweetest tooth.
